The Brief:

With our School fit out projects, schools are looking to promote active lifestyles and healthy choices which is why many of our clients are now exploring and installing outdoor gym equipment on their playgrounds. Encouraging children to be active outside in the fresh air is becoming increasingly popular, as have our outdoor gym installations and stimulating playground markings.

Having an existing relationship with the primary school, Chase Terrace chose to work with us again to design and install their required outdoor play area. They chose a range of children’s outdoor gym equipment to have installed on their junior playground.

Requirements:

Chase Terrace Primary School required an outdoor gym suitable for use by the junior children at their school. The equipment needed to comply to all relevant safety standards, fitted onto their existing playground and be completed during the school’s shut down period over summer holidays.

The Solution:

• The school shared their ideas and those of their students on how they felt they would like the space to be used.

• We surveyed the playground and potential installations were discussed and explored with the school.

• The school approved the equipment suggested and installation methods.

• Project time scales were planned in line with the required completion deadline.

Upon their return to school, the children of Chase Terrace Primary school were greeted with their new and improved playground featuring state-of-the-art outdoor gym equipment specifically designed for use by junior children.
